Puccio, Mance and Murdock pose a provocative image related to Creative Problem Solving (CPS) that I want you to consider:
"Suppose you had a treasure map that would lead you to gold no matter where or when you used it –all you had to do was set a few goals, figure out the general direction, and know how to effectively use the map that will get you the gold – the nuggets of ideas and glimmer and shine of implementation. Many people have used the CPS map over the years. It has a rich history….We suggest that leaders can learn to use this map to more skillfully respond to problems that require creative change (2010, p 41)."
